Why a professional business plan is decisive
The Gründungszuschuss is only granted if a viable, professional business plan is in place. The plan must show that your business idea is economically realistic, sustainable and executable.
Our business plan meets every formal and content requirement of the Employment Agency and is prepared for the expert opinion (fachkundige Stellungnahme) — built on Hans-Jochen Kreysing's 25 years as an IHK-recognised expert body under §93 SGB III.
What's in your business plan
Every plan is written individually and contains:
- Business idea & company concept
- Market and competitor analysis
- Marketing & sales strategy
- Financial plan with costs, revenue & profitability forecast
- Cash-flow forecast for the first 12 months
- Viability assessment that feeds directly into the expert opinion
Length: approximately 7–10 pages — the right size for submission to the Employment Agency.
Eligibility for the Gründungszuschuss
- Currently receiving Arbeitslosengeld I (ALG I)
- At least 150 days of remaining ALG I entitlement at the time of application
How much you receive
- 6 months at the level of your current ALG I
- Additional €300/month for social insurance
- Extension possible: €300/month for a further 9 months
The Gründungszuschuss is a discretionary benefit (Kann-Leistung) of the Federal Employment Agency.
A note on viability
To avoid rejection, your business model should generate at least €2,000 in monthly taxable profit by the 6th month — enough to cover your living costs.
